Languages

The School's Language department teaches predominantly French and German however, Chinese is also available for native speakers. French is taught from Reception onwards, and German starts in Form 1. Pupils can continue with both languages to Form 3, at the end of which either one or both languages are chosen for GCSE. French and German is available in the sixth form at both AS and A level.

There is a popular trip to France to Chateau de Chantreine near Dieppe, for pupils in Forms 1-3 and the school has a well established German Exchange with our partner school in Wolfenbüttel in Germany.
