Children entertained on Campaign Launch Afternoon
24th November 2008
Last Saturday we held a campaign Launch Afternoon for the Science Building.Whilst parents were invited to find out more about the Campaign, their children were entertained with a Bouncy Castle and Magician.
Parents were taken on a tour of the school to view recent improvements in Boarding accommodation, the two new state of the art ICT suites and the refurbished Library. They also saw the current science laboratories and heard John Smithson, the Campaign Manager explain in detail how the project evolved and how it will be funded. Headmaster Anthony Clemit explained that the provision of a new Science Building is the next logical step in the development of the school that celebrated its twenty-fifth Anniversary this year.
Since its re-founding twenty-five years the Longridge governors
have invested constantly in the school's facilities, which have contributed
to the creation of Longridge's unique ethos as a warm, friendly family
school in which pupils of all abilities achieve and frequently exceed their
potential.
