Student Activities and Clubs

We consider the development of pupils outside the academic sphere to be vital, and therefore extra-curricular activities are an important feature of life at the school. Designed to enable pupils to learn more of themselves by expanding on existing interests and discovering new ones, they also create the foundation for friendships, pastimes and pursuits which may last long into the future.

Longridge offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities; some take place as part of activity periods which are timetabled during the school day. Others take place at lunchtime or after school. The programme tends to vary from year to year depending on interest and demand.

Sports on offer:

Rugby, Hockey, Athletics, Basketball, Soccer, Cricket, Cross Country Running, and Rounders.

Other main activities include:

Drama, Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Library, Magazine, Orchestra, Choir, Swing Band, NTO (Not the Orchestra), and Young Engineers Club.
