-
The Skills Section - aims to encourage the discovery and development of personal interests and social and practical skills. This can involve developing skills in an existing activity or taking up something new. The range of possible activities cover a wide range of hobbies and leisure activities
-
The Physical Recreation Section - aims to encourage participation in physical recreation and to improve performance. In some activities, participants are required to achieve certain standards but in most activities, participation and improvement of performance is sufficient
-
The Expedition Section - requires participants to plan and carry out a journey and camp out overnight
The participants must be completely self-sufficient during the venture and one complete, substantial meal must be prepared.
Before the expedition, participants take part in a programme of training and undertake a practice expedition.
