Boarding
Choosing the right school is among the most important decisions parents and pupils ever make, never more so when deciding on the right boarding school.
Boarding pupils may spend a large proportion of their lives in school and it is essential therefore, particularly in the case of young or first-time boarders, that they feel comfortable, settled and secure. Here at Longridge, our non-teaching, dedicated house parents and resident matron ensure boarders have the feeling they are going home when school is finished and that they feel part of a large, happy and thriving family in a warm, safe and caring atmosphere.
Pupils have access to the computer network enabling them to keep in regular contact with family and friends via email. Parents of boarders are actively encouraged to maintain close contact with house parents on an informal basis.
Longridge offers full-term and weekly boarding for pupils aged 8 and upwards, while day pupils are welcome to board at any time.
Our boarding accommodation is inside the school's main building and is located over two storeys. Boys and girls are accommodated on separate floors but share a well-equipped games room and a large, welcoming common room with kitchen facilities and widescreen television.
Comfortable bedrooms are single or shared and each room has its own study facilities.
