Longridge Towers School Development Association was set up in its current format in 1995. The aims of the LTSDA are:

To raise funds for the enrichment of the education opportunities for the pupils and to organise social events for pupils, past pupils, parents and their families

LTSDA currently has a committee of one member of staff and 10 parents. The parents all have children in either the Senior or Junior Schools or both so that all areas of the school are represented and the interests of the Boarders are also taken into account.

LTSDA aims to run at least one activity each school term. We provide a variety of events so that there is something to suit everyone. Some events are purely social, others are both social and fundraising and recent events have included a quiz night, a sponsored walk, Proms Night, an annual Christmas Fair, summer dance, clay pigeon shoot and BBQs at sports days.

Over the last few years, LTSDA has funded both large and small projects, working closely with the Headmaster and School Senior Management Team. The largest project so far was in 2010 when LTSDA paid for the upgrade of electrics, a sound system and curtains for the Chapel.  Small projects have included the purchase of some musical instruments for the Early Years Department.

LTSDA relies on the very generous support that we receive from parents, families, pupils and all the staff at school and is always looking for new members. We are a friendly, sociable group. If you are new to the area or just to the school, joining LTSDA is a great way to make new friends and help the school at the same time. Meetings normally take place once or twice a term.

We know not everyone wants to join a committee. However, if you feel that you would like to help at an occasional event, we would be delighted to have your help.

We aim to provide a variety of interesting and fun events through the school year that appeal to all involved in the Longridge Towers School community. If you have any ideas for events, please let us know.

LTSDA can be contacted by email to our current chair, Lucy Armstrong lucy@funditsolutions.co.uk or you can write to the school, addressing your correspondence to LTSDA care of the School Secretary’s Office.
