On 17th March, World Sleep Day, Mike Ross delivered an assembly, “Sleep the night, Seize the day,” on the importance of good quality sleep.The School has since built on this event and is planning other engagements with pupils and staff. Mike now has a web site up for his sleep inducing ‘Dreamasks’, which have become an
invaluable part of the lives of several pupils, parents and staff. www.the-dreamask.com will be regularly updated with points of interest on research and techniques to obtain quality sleep. The worldsleepday.org ,Slogan: ‘Sleep Soundly, Nurture Life,’ states “Individuals who get an entire night’s sleep without interruptions, experience lower rates of high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and other chronic illnesses. A Little Norham Christmas!

A whole new festive event coming to the village hall! A lovely Christmassy evening - a little bit of Christmas shopping and a chance to meet friends with a glass of fizz - all at the same time! And all in aid of charity! What’s not to like? Handmade gifts vintage goods and artisan foods from local artists, makers and traders. Innovative gifts, including festive decorations and greenery, art, jewellery, baskets, candles, fashion accessories, toiletries, wood crafts, foodie gifts and other Christmas essentials! Tickets available IN ADVANCE ONLY - £5 each, with a glass of prosecco (or soft drink) and canapés - and the opportunity to buy more - so over 18s only! Norham Living Nativity - Sat 23rd December 3pm
Meet at the churchyard gates at 3pm and follow Mary and Joseph and their (real live!) donkey on their journey to Bethlehem. On the way we meet a Roman soldier, some Wisemen (or possibly women!), shepherd, an angel and an innkeeper, and finally arrive at the stable outside the village hall. Music contributed by the Norham Junior Singers with soloist - and you. Adults and children alike are encouraged to come dressed as a character from the story of the Nativity.
Refreshments will be in the village hall afterwards. All donations will go towards Norham Community Funds.
