Welcome from the Headteacher

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Longridge Towers School. Providing a seamless continuous, tailored educational journey for pupils aged 3 to 19, our school is built on a simple yet powerful principle: we are small enough to care, but big enough to excel. This balance allows us to offer rich opportunities and ambitious standards, while ensuring every child receives the personal attention they need to flourish.

At Longridge, our focus is firmly on whole-child development to ensure our pupils leave us confident, grounded, and life ready. We set high expectations and deliver a dynamic, engaging curriculum because we know that learning should be both rigorous and stimulating. However, we measure success not just by grades, but by the strength of character our pupils build along the way, empowering them to strive for personal excellence and enrich the world around them.

A Longridge pupil truly stands out in any setting. They are recognised for their kindness, their eagerness to lift up those around them, and the positive, constructive attitude they bring to their environment. We firmly believe that when children feel happy, valued, and grounded in strong values, they naturally achieve their highest potential.

A website can only tell part of our story. To truly understand what makes Longridge such a remarkable and dynamic place to learn and grow, I strongly encourage you to visit us. I look forward to personally welcoming you, introducing you to our exceptional staff and pupils, and showing you first hand what makes our school so special.

Headteacher

“When you hear of the success of the pupils, what they have achieved and what they are going on to do, I am very proud of the fact that it has continued to be successful and provide a great education for many, many children in this area.”

Ian McCreath, Longridge Honorary President, a Founder and former Chair of Governors

Over the past seven years, not only have I gained an academic understanding which will set me in good stead to continue learning, but Longridge has also allowed me to develop as an individual.
Longridge has nurtured my personal growth and development, and created a space where I feel confident to be me and become someone I hope I would have looked up to in those early days of joining the Longridge community.
I know I am not the only one who believes Longridge has allowed them, or is allowing them, to become the type of person they aspire to be.

Choosing to step outside my comfort zone and fully commit to my personal growth boosted my confidence and elevated my achievements.
It made my time at Longridge a truly transformative experience where I could thrive, express myself and succeed.
